This is a Jesus year!!
January 8th
He is the beginning and the end, and everything in between. We are called to a high and holy calling according to 2.Timothy 1:9. Called for what? We are called to be like Jesus. In order to be like Him, we have to be with Him.
As a Christian, we are in Him, but we might not be so much with Him. A couple who have been married for a long time, start looking alike because they have been so much together. Can people around us see and hear that we look and talk like Jesus?
God called us by name, but many have unfortunately not responded to that calling. Jesus is still calling you, saying: “Come to me, and I will give you peace!”
Jesus has saved me from my sins and sicknesses and broken the power of the devil on the Cross. You can read Isaiah 53:4+5 and Colossians 2:14+15. Jesus cried out: “IT IS FINISHED!” He has already done everything, but we have to make it ours.
What is the nature of Jesus? LOVE. He loved us so much that he gave his own life so that we could live and have life in abundance. He left the Glory in Heaven to identify with us as humans and He became a servant. In order to be like Him, we have to serve, first our Lord and Master and then other people. Our first love goes to God, then ourself and then to others. In Galatians 2:20 it says that I am crucified with Christ and I do not live for myself, but Christ lives in me. In the world people will become more and more selfish, but we as Christians cannot allow ourselves to put ourselves in the centre.
There is not one secure place in the world any more. I have travelled a lot, and I have been places with bombing, murder, earthquakes, riots etc. The only safe plae is in Him. I have to live so close to God as the shadow of the Almighty (psalm91). Only there am I safe and secure.
Many people complain to me that they don`t hear from God and they are confused. They say:”Please pray for me.” Naturally I pray for them, but I always ask them how much time they spend with Jesus. When you talk to another person, you have to be close to that person. It should not be too much disturbance in the room. We also have to be close to Jesus and there should not be too many other disturbances. Sins and worries are disturbances.
God, your Creator and Father, Jesus, your Friend and Savior, and the Holy Spirit, your Helper are always available. You will not hear any busy signals, nor will there be a sign saying: Come back later, I am out for lunch. We are always welcome into the presence of God, the Trinity. The choice is ours.
I want to say at the end of the year: Less of me, more of Jesus. I also want to do things in Him and not out my flesh so that I can have a big basket full of eternal fruits at the end of the year. That would make my heavenly Father happy and His Name would be honored and glorified.
I wish you hereby: A BLESSED YEAR WITH CHRIST IN THE CENTRE OF YOUR LIFE!
