Vaccination
1st of March
I write this at a time when everybody has been talking about the common flu or the special “swine-flu”. Newspapers and all other media have been writing about this for weeks and months. They have been full of threats, reports and information. I am in Norway right now and the newspapers have been given information about which groups to be vaccinated first and people have even been lying and said that they had sickness they didn’t have in order to get the vaccination first. People have been full of fear and it has created a lot of chaos and confusion. I have never seen any other sickness getting this kind of attention before.
I am very sorry for every person who is dead since every person is so valuable so I do not want to diminish the loss of dear people, but I am very angry at the devil who has created fear beyond all limits. I, myself, have prayed for protection over me and everything and everybody who belongs to me. I have prayed for areas where I set my feet.
I do believe that we will get more epidemics in the future and we really need wisdom in order to protect ourselves.
I am very thankful to the doctors and the medicines we have. They save lives and improve the conditions of people daily, but I am even more interested in seeking wisdom and medicine from THE DOCTOR OVER ALL DOCTORS AND OUR CREATOR.
I have “lived” in the 91.psalm during this period. I have read it many, many times before, but now I have used it as DAILY VACCINATION. I have chosen to go through this psalm with you.
It starts like this: “ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will first stop at the word “dwell”. We are not supposed to come on a visit now and then, but to be there always. We can read in 1.Thess.5:17 that we should pray without ceasing. This is something constant and permanent. Jesus lives in me since I have received Him. He in me and I in Him. The sad thing is that I am not always conscious of this. We are supposed to abide under the shadow. Do you know that the shadow is part of the person? You have to come very close in order to be protected by the shadow. You would die in some countries if you couldn’t be protected from the heat by the shadow. When there is too much “heat” around you, you can abide under the shadow of the Almighty, not hide and escape, but abide.
God continues to underline the importance of our tongue. What shall we say about our God? YOU ARE MU REFUGE AND MY FORTRESS. I WILL TRUST IN YOU.
I am not saying that we should avoid medicines and vaccinations. Each person must ask God for advice and do according to your faith and the peace in your heart. But our uttermost trust is in Him who shall deliver us from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. You will seldom discover the snare before it is too late. All of a sudden you will find yourself in a situation and you do not know how to get out. Here we have a promise that says that God will deliver us. We do not have to do it ourselves, most likely because we cannot. Aren’t you happy? He will also deliver us from perilous pestilence. I consider the swine-flu as pestilence and I thank God daily that He will free me from it. His Word is true and we can trust it. I can be sure of the fact that he will cover me with His feathers and give me refuge under His wings. I believe that we are totally covered. No part of us is unprotected. His truth is our shield and buckler. What is His truth? HIS WORD AND PROMISES. Do you remember Jesus when He answered the devil by saying: “ It is written!”
The psalm continues by saying that we should not be afraid. Fear is the opposite of faith and since we will receive according to our faith, the devil will try all he can to make us fearful. What should we not fear? “ The terror by night, nor the arrow that flies by day. Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of destruction that lays waste at noonday.” Most of the time we cannot see what happens in the dark. It goes on in the invisible. We really need to pray for the gift of discernment in order to reveal what goes on in the invisible world. It doesn’t matter what we see, we do not need to be afraid.
We can stand straight even if a thousand may fall at our side, and ten thousand at our right hand. Nothing will touch us. We might have to watch war and dangerous situations in the future, but you can take this word since God’s promises are true. I have heard testimonies from people who have experienced tragedies. People died around them, but they had just meditated on this psalm and nothing happened to them. God has not promised us that we will never see these things, but when we have made the Lord as a refuge, and the Most High our dwelling place, no evil will befall us, nor shall any plague come near our dwelling place. That means that nothings will happen to our body, the people with us and our belongings.
What has the Lord done? He has given His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. “In their hands, they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.” I had a tendency to fall when I was in India. My foot was really dashed against a stone. I actually started to “walk on this Word.” It really helped.
It continues to say that we can tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent shall be trampled under our feet. I do not believe that many of us will be able to tread on a living lion and a cobra, but God wants to tell us that he has given us authority over the devil and his kingdom and the fact is that he is under us, under our feet.
God says that He will deliver us. Why? “ Because we have set our love upon Him.” Sometimes I think that I love other things more, but I really want to love Him more and more. I do need His deliverance.
What more shall He do? He shall set me high. I can visualize myself, sitting high in a tree, very safe, and the enemy cannot reach me. Many animals climb up in trees and hide themselves from other dangerous animals, unable to climb. God does this because I know Him and His name. These promises are for those who know Him. He underlines the knowledge of his name. What does His name mean? Many more things than the examples I will give here: “Savior, counselor, doctor, Prince of Peace, more than enough, creator and provider.” I do not believe that we fully understand the meaning of His name.
We can read many places in the bible: “Pray, and you will receive.” We can read the same in the 15th verse. “He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him.”
If we experience troubles, He will be with us and honor us. We are not always honored by people, but God will honor us.
The last verse of the 91.psalm goes like this: “With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
The Bible is full of God’s promises, but this psalm is one of the strongest for me. I have taken it as a vaccination daily during the time of flu and I might have a need for a strong and effective vaccination in the future too.
TAKE THE WORD OF GOD AS A VACCINATION, DAILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
